Brian Christopher Slots conducted a follow-up survey of its loyal fans, the Rudies, this summer. The results are not a surprise to us, but this player data has been very insightful and helpful in informing the gaming industry and casino operators.

Background: Brian Christopher, the name behind BCSlots, is an award-winning casino gaming content creator with a thriving social community of 2.4 million subscribers and over 30 million monthly video views. He plays slots daily in casinos and online, and has a huge fan club, The Rudies. The ANR Foundation was fortunate to meet Brian at the 2016 Global Gaming Expo (G2E), which was the start of a wonderful collaboration, with the goal of clearing the air in casinos for the health and safety of casinos workers, players, and other guests. Brian’s unique experience and perspective has helped to reach a broader audience in the casino industry and across those who enjoy playing in casinos. It has also confirmed what thousands of dealers and other casino workers know from their interactions with gaming patrons – they love to play, but (most) hate the secondhand smoke.

Brian Christoper Slots posted the information below about the survey in September 2026. We encourage readers to review these findings to understand the strong support for smokefree casinos and recognize the consequences of failing to go smokefree – namely losing out on guests and revenue because people refuse to be exposed to secondhand smoke. Sadly, casino workers do not have the luxury to leave a smokey environment, so we hope you will join BCSlots and the ANR Foundation in our efforts to expand smokefree protections to all workers, including those who work in casinos and other hospitality venues.

NEW INSIGHTS in the casino world! We’ve done a follow-up to our Smokefree Casino Player Survey… and the learnings are loud.

This time we asked the question operators actually need answered. What does indoor smoking do to visit frequency, session length, and spend, and what is really at risk in going smokefree?

🚭 88% (smokers included) would visit the same or more if the floor went smokefree.

🚭 73% have left early, avoided a casino, or cut their spend due to indoor smoking.

🚭 37% have a health condition worsened by smoke – 7 in 10 leave earlier & spend less.

Brian Christopher Slots continues to be an advocate for smokefree gaming on behalf of both players & casino workers, in solidarity with the American Nonsmokers’ Rights Foundation. We see strong industry momentum this year, with several strategic casino floor shifts on land and at sea, including the new beautiful smokefree space at PALMS right here in Las Vegas!
